Movement strategy for the Eden Quarter masterplan
The Eden Quarter is part of the commercial centre of Kingston. This Masterplan and vision for change considers how new shopping, commercial, residential and buildings for community use can be brought forward within an area of high pedestrian priority.
The quarter is constrained by a significant “ring road” that severs and isolates the centre from local more residential neighbourhoods. Our work considers the changes needed to the road, bringing it towards a more pleasant urban street, along with new public transport arrangements, cycling routes and improved streets and spaces with a high pedestrian priority.
