Public realm study
Like many other small towns and villages across the UK, the quality of Corsham’s rich historic urban street fabric has been eroded by everyday modern day life. Cars and traffic management dominate spaces,
signage and unnecessary street furniture clutter the public realm and erode quality.
In Corsham these issues are recognised and to address them, our client has established a forum to control a new public realm strategy for the village. As part of this we have been helping to facilitate workshops with the community so that problems, constraints and opportunities for change can be debated and a consensus gained on the way forward. A public realm strategy has been produced and work
is now progressing towards mechanisms for delivery of new improvements.
