Bristol Temple Quarter

Movement strategy - Temple Meads station and the Temple Quarter masterplan

As a front door to the city, the area around Temple meads station has long awaited the change needed to make it part of the rich urban fabric of central Bristol. It has stayed on the “city edge” but now the station is set for major improvement, a new arena is planned and there is a demand for change and new development.

The complex issues and interrelationships between individual development projects have been drawn together in a master plan for the station and its environs making this area part of the city centre. As part of a large multidisciplinary team our work dealt with issues of movement from strategic rail and road transport through to the detail of new urban streets around the station.
